    Delivery Information

    United Kingdom

    Hamper.com now offer Free Delivery on all our hampers including Create Your Own to any address in the UK.

    We offer a next day delivery service for mainland UK postcodes on all orders placed before 2pm throughout Monday to Friday, locations outside mainland UK will be sent on an express service and are likely to arrive within 2-3 days.  

    You can also choose a preferred delivery date up to three months in advance, so delivery can be made on a day that suits you or your recipient. (excludes Sunday)  We are currently offering a free upgrade to Saturday delivery to the UK Mainland when selected at the checkout, see delivery dates below for more information.  

    We will email you confirmation when your delivery has been made, so you know your recipient has received their gift.

    Europe & International

    We ship a selection of our hampers worldwide.  Each hampers country eligibility & various shipping costs can be found on their product pages. The prices shown in the product delivery details tab are additional to the hamper price and inclusive of VAT.  Choose the country you wish to send the item to at checkout. This can be changed at any time before order is placed. See more information on EU Tiers and International delivery below.

     

    Delivery Dates

    Deliveries are made by appointed carriers depending on the destination and the product.  Deliveries are normally made Monday to Friday, excluding bank and national holidays. To allow for weekends, holidays, time differences, delivery distance, customs clearance, weather etc., it is advisable for purchasers to place orders two working days or more before a requested delivery date to ensure we can have the item to their door on your ideal day for delivery.

    We aim to despatch goods to arrive as close as possible to that date or a day before, taking account the delivery time, the weather conditions prevailing, whether any perishable items are included in the order etc. Unfortunately delivery on the requested date cannot be guaranteed – especially during the very busy time immediately before Christmas, although we will do everything we can to deliver on the date requested and have a very high success rate in achieving delivery on customers preferred date. If it must arrive by that date we would suggest you order and select a date a few days earlier, to allow for any delays or the recipient not being home when the delivery is attempted.

    Saturday Delivery - For a trial period we are now also including Saturday as an additional delivery day at no extra cost. This is limited to UK Mainland addresses only and is not a guaranteed delivery day service and excludes business, school and hospital addresses.

    Customs clearance and paperwork

    Parcels delivered outside EU Europe are subject to clearance through local customs. Although this does not normally cause delays, the timing of customs clearance is outside the control of Clearwater Hampers or our international carriers DHL International. Under world-wide shipping conventions, paperwork including a proforma invoice (with a minimal value and stating that the parcel is a gift) has to be is attached to the parcel.

     Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange delivery to PO Box or BFPO addresses or similar.

    Clearwater Hampers/hamper.com’s classification of delivery regions

    Many countries have import restrictions on the type of product and we have defined the delivery regions around customs restrictions and our carriers’ tariff regions. Please note the classification below of these countries for delivery regions is not therefore necessarily the same as the political status.

    If nobody is at home........

    If the recipient is not at home when the driver attempts delivery, the driver is instructed to use their discretion to leave the parcel with a neighbour, or in a safe place.  As deliveries are made mainly within working hours, please give some thought as to whether the recipient will be available for the delivery and consider the possibility of delivery to a work address.

     

    Hospitals, Universities, business and work addresses....

    For deliveries to hospitals, universities, colleges, military bases, work addresses etc., please be aware that the driver is required only to deliver to the address on the label – not directly to the recipient and we cannot be held responsible for delays incurred from the parcel being delivered to the address and being received by the recipient. Delivery to these locations is not available on Saturday.

    Please check that hospitals will allow deliveries of food items or drink to the relevant ward and ensure the ward details are entered when completing the address details. For deliveries to blocks of flats, it is important that the driver is able to gain access for a card to be left or to attempt delivery. Unfortunately, we are unable to arrange delivery to PO Box or BFPO addresses or similar.

     

    Returned, Redelivery or Redirection

    The couriers will only hold the parcel for a limited time after an attempted delivery when a calling card has been left, and if the recipient does not respond to the card the parcel will be returned to us. If we are requested to re-send or redirect the parcel there may be additional charges to cover the cost of the parcel being returned, new delivery charges and replacement packaging and perishable items – this may be up to 50% of the original cost of the order depending on circumstances and contents. Alternatively, we may offer a partial refund if the gift is no longer required.

    In the event of non-delivery within the UK, due to an incorrect address or recipient information supplied by the purchaser, or if the recipient specified by the customer refuses to accept the parcel, Clearwater Hampers reserves the right to make a charge of a minimum of 50% of the original order for re-directing or re-sending the order.

    In the event that the purchaser should cancel the order after despatch, Clearwater Hampers reserves the right to refund up to 50% of the original order value. We are unable to refund the cost to you in returning any item unless the item was faulty.

     

    Telephone Numbers

    It is helpful if a contact telephone number for the recipient can be supplied with the order to aid the driver, however, please note that the driver is not able to call the recipient to arrange a delivery time.

    Please note hampers EF52, EF53, EV17, CH11 & CH12 are sent via First Class Royal Mail and as such there will be no tracking or confirmation of delivery available.
